A folding stool, a piece of lucky
paper, a red, white and blue plastic
canvas bag, a dim-sum slip and a pawnshop
signboard: all are examples of everyday
generic designs with which most people
are familiar, yet few know the origins
of or the designer who created them.
Through searching for the designers
of these quotidian objects, this exhibition
has become a platform to solicit information
and knowledge about the material culture
of the community at large.
